Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help make our community events a success! Depending on your interest and availability, you can join us for one of the following tree roles:
1. OPEN DOORS - Family Buddy (Holiday & Family Outing Events)

Focus: School Holiday Programs & Family Outings.

Role: You will serve as a supportive companion for families during our outdoor or holiday sessions. Your main responsibility is to ensure everyone feels welcome, assist families with activities, and help create a safe and engaging environment for both children and parents.

Best for: Volunteers who enjoy interacting with people, leading small group activities, and providing direct support to families
2. Multi-Sports Family Buddy (Term-based Sessions Holiday Sessions)
Focus: Weekly Multi-Sports Program (Term-time, 6-week series).
Role: You will be the key coordinator for our regular sports sessions. This role is perfect for long-term members who want to support the club’s consistency while ensuring a smooth experience for all participating children and parents. As part of a two-person buddy team, you will share responsibilities to keep the program running efficiently.
Best for: Volunteers who are reliable, enjoy a regular routine, and want to play a leadership role in our core sports community.

Fuel Subsidy

Term Programs (6-Week Series): $60 per term

Holiday Programs (5–6 Day Sessions): $50-60 per week
3. Workshop Helper (After-School Sessions)

Focus: Cooking workshop, Art/Craft workshops, and various After-School Activities.

Role: You will be the backbone of our operational team. This role is highly hands-on, involving event setup, logistics support, and assisting facilitators to ensure the workshop runs smoothly.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Setup & Logistics: Preparing tables, managing equipment (frypans, cables, etc.), and organizing materials.

Kitchen & Prep: Assisting with ingredients, kitchen tools, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Event Operations: Helping with participant check-in, photography, and conducting surveys.
-
Cleanup: Ensuring all facilities are restored to their original state post-event.

Best for: Volunteers who are organized, proactive, and thrive in an active, task-oriented environment.
4. Teen Support Leader (Youth Leadership)

Focus: Mentoring younger children and assisting instructors.
-
Target: Students in Year 10 – Year 12.

Role: Assist Adult Team Leaders or lead your own segments in Art, Science, or Cooking workshops. A great way to share your talents and inspire younger kids.

Best for: Responsible teens looking to build leadership experience and professional skills.

Pathway A: Support Assistant (Volunteer)Assist Adult Team Leaders with session management and peer mentoring.

Benefit: Official Volunteer Certificate & Reference Letter.

Pathway B: Teen Instructor (Paid Role)

Lead your own segments or full sessions in Art, Science, Cooking, or Sports.

Rate: $25 per hour

Requirement: Demonstrated expertise in the subject and a proactive leadership attitude.
5. Online Digital Volunteer (Creative & Social)

Focus: Social Media, Canva, and Online Marketing.

Role: Support the Trust remotely! Create engaging social media posts, design event posters (via Canva), or draft community newsletters.

Best for: Creative minds with digital skills who prefer a flexible, "work-from-home" volunteer style.
A Core Children’s Worker subject to the Children’s
Act 2014 being vetted as a caregiver of children within a home or workplace setting; the purpose of this type of vetting application is the safety of a child.
